MASTER BUILDERS WIN FOR SOUTH WEST 2018
It is with great pleasure that we can share with you of our recent success in the 2018 Master Builders-Bankwest Building Excellence Awards for the South West. The awards ceremony was held Saturday 24 March 2018 at the Quality Hotel Lighthouse. Our premier project entry was of course the Busselton Civic & Administration project. Designed by MCG Architects in conjunction with JCY Architects and MKDC.
The Busselton Civic & Administration project was recognised by our industry piers as follows.
- Excellence in Building Practice
- Best Commercial Industrial Alterations & Additions Over $10M
- Supervisor of the Year – Craig Winter
- 2018 South West Bankwest Best Regional Project
As winners of the coveted Best Regional Project we will be proud to represent the project stakeholders and the South West at the MBA State Awards for Overall Best Regional Project later in the year.
We would like to recognise all of the stakeholders that contributed to the success of this fantastic “award winning” project.
Firstly thank you to the City of Busselton for demonstrating your faith in BGC Construction. This project was complex and financially significant for the City and the South West. Projects like these are not simple, in fact they are extremely complex hence we endured some tough times together however they were all resolved amicably for the benefit of the project success thus forging a professional relationship and friendships that we continue to enjoy. Thank you Councillors, Mike, Jan, Martyn and the team for working with us to deliver this wonderful project.
MCG Architects we thank you sincerely for working with us collaboratively. Your positive attitude and work ethic is appreciated. This significant project demonstrates your position as the leading Architectural firm in the South West – thank you and congratulations.
We could not have succeeded without the fantastic support of our dedicated Sub-Contractors and Suppliers. The successful delivery of this project is a result of our positive working relationship and the dedication of your staff and sub-contractors. The quality of your workmanship and materials is demonstrated in this project and now recognised by our piers – well done and thank you.
Lastly thank you to our BGC Construction Team. We are extremely proud of your dedication and skill in delivering this project to such a high standard in such a short period of time on a site that was described as “porridge” over a winter that was the wettest in more than 10 years! Congratulations Craig for on your award for MBA Supervisor of the Year, well deserved. Thank you Bree, your effort was also outstanding.
